Our young people are central to their work on destinations, as we encourage agency and a sense of responsibility and support them to purposely construct their future plans. Destinations include further college education, university, a return to mainstream education, apprenticeships, vocational training and work.
RISE has a Careers Programme linked closely to the government's new Career Strategy. Our programme connects careers education and learning to the future by giving students exposure of and experience in a variety of pathways to jobs/careers. We endeavour to provide support to enable students to make well informed and aspirational future decisions to enable successful transitions to the next stage of their lives.
We work with learners who are vulnerable to becoming NEET. Our aim is that all students acquire the skills, knowledge, and attitudes to manage their learning and career progression. We will support students in making informed decisions by providing access to differentiated impartial and independent information and guidance about the range of Post 16 pathways available to them.
RISE SPACE adheres to the Gatsby Foundation Benchmark and recognises the benefits of Career guidance and access for education and training providers.
All staff have the responsibility to contribute to the careers and destinations programme, which is embedded across the curriculum to contribute to its overall effectiveness and constantly monitored using the online compass tool.
