Informal Reviews

RISE SPICE offers a variety of opportunities to assess attainment and evidence progress.

Padlet
Padlet is a digital communications platform that helps the young people to capture and share what they have been doing in a fun and engaging way on a digital notice board. From words and images to videos and links, this digital space can be filled and accessed easily from multiple devices, enabling it to be shared with schools, parents, carers and stakeholders.

Assess Plan Do Review meetings
RISE SPACE offer an informal review three times a year with the young person and request family and stakeholder contributions and review. Here we assess how the young person is doing, plan appropriate targets, we employ the provisions and review how things are going. We believe that collaborative working and open lines of communication are key to the progress of our young people. Informal reviews will not change what’s in your child's EHC plan. This will only happen at annual EHCP reviews, but these can be early if needed.

Annual Review Report
A thorough annual review report is written to review progress to Outcomes in preparation for the Annual Review. You or the provision can ask for an early EHCP review. Some parents call this an 'interim' review. RISE SPACE will contact you if they think your child’s EHCP need to be reviewed.
You or RISE SPACE can ask for an early review if:

• Your child’s special educational needs change significantly and the description in the EHC plan is no longer accurate the provision in your child’s EHC plan no longer meets their needs
• Your child has been excluded or is at risk of exclusion from the setting
• There's a problem and it seems RISE SPACE may not be meeting your child's needs

Curriculum Tracking
All programmes, exam practice and assessment outcomes are logged in each curriculum to show progress towards outcomes and progress. Patterns and trends are monitored so that interventions can be inputted, should they be required to accelerate progress.

Secondary Social, Emotional and Behaviourial Skills (SEBS)
SEBS Assessments explores a whole-school approach to developing social, emotional and behavioural skills amongst staff and pupils and reviews outcomes to inform intervention and support to be integrated it in to their existing work.
