RISE SPACE

RISE SPACE is a Post 16 College where we create and deliver dynamic and innovative whole person education programmes for young people with special education ambitions needs it debilitating anxiety aged 16-25 years.

We work to improve identified EHC outcomes for young people whilst building wellbeing, confidence, self-esteem, resilience and aspiration. We support young people to make sustainable changes to their lives; forming long lasting friendships, cultivating a sense of security, self-identity, affiliation with their community and culture, as well as genuine sense of independence and belonging that will benefit them long into adulthood.

Our young people are given the time, nurture, environment, and structure required to develop academically, socially, and emotionally and build a resilient platform for future pathways

How can we help?

• We provide young people with support, opportunities, and care to access the community and the world of work or further training, with appropriate skills, qualifications, confidence, independence, excitement, and ambition.

‍• We deliver a holistic approach to learning and development in a safe environment with exposure to real life settings and experiences.

• We engage young people in aspirational learning opportunities

• We enable young people to find happiness, balance, and contentment with a focus on individual and collective self-perception• We support young people to transition into next steps and settings.

• We empower young people to live with more independence, self advocacy and choice with skills to remove barriers and aspire to greatness.

OUR AIMOur aim is to help our young people continually reach for higher platforms, from which they can enjoy life and learning. We do this by:

• Embedding qualifications and experience throughout our curriculum, including within our Preparation forAdulthood and Personal Development programmes
• Deconstructing the glass ceilings and false narratives that limit aspiration and confidence,
• Enabling each member of the RISE community to achieve their full potential in education and in life.

Parents and Carers can make their SEND Officer and school aware that you wish to access a place at RISE SPACE College for your young person. They will take your request to panel who will decide whether to consult with us to see if we can meet need.

Should we be consulted and are able to offer an appropriate package of support, the Local authority will consider the package funding at Panel.

Schools should speak to your local SEND Team about requesting funding from panel.
